*Sigh* I just want to be like you. LOL. Oh yeah, I'm back in Camarillo more or less permenantly, as I'm sure you guessed from the S13 vs Z32 thread. You, Los and I should meet up. Did he tell you anything about our friend Jay? He just got himself a DSM GST Spyder, so now there are TWO Mitsubitches to work on for September's auto-x.

To make my post relevant: I know a couple folks who got their SR's from Phase2. I've heard nothing but good things there.

Don't you have an E brad? sig says dual cam...wow up to 233K??? thats alot....I still have a felling Carlos will back out last min. but hopefully he doesn't.

Oh and here is more for ya:From General chatSeems like a low price but I know nothing about SR's/were to buy them/how much they cost....Only problem is no one on here has used them and thats a lot of money to gamble on an unknown company. Maybe a google search of their name will provide some feedback...

Nope, DE. And those are original miles. Gettin' close to swapping it running. LOL.

There's another company I've heard of called ZeroLift. They're out in the Midwest... haven't heard much about them, but what little I've heard is good.

You should consider swapping a CA18DET instead. That motor has better cylinder head design and is way more affordable in the short run. It also is cheaper and faster to install. You will love it for it's cast iron bottom end (as opposed to the SR20 aluminum block) and it has power gains similar to the SR20 with the SR20 stock turbo installed on it as a replacement for the stock CA18 turbo.

Anyone know were I can get a VET motor from?? Does anyone on the board have one...and would it even be worth the extra money over a regular DET motor? Also I want to put an S15 6 spd transmission in my S13 when i get my motor, what kinda of mods would i need to get that to work properly?

Dude why not get a RB20,25 or A CA18 they both are better than the SR by far look Do you want an aluminum motor or do you want one that is steel cause the SR's are solid aluminum so you are on the east coast you should check out http://www.jarcoinc.com http://www.jhotimports.com

Cash efficient? Go look into the CA subsection of the 240SX & Silvia forum.

Thats what I was trying to tell you.

The CA18DET costs as much as $1K less compared to a SR20DET price for a compete motorset. Not alot of people choose the motor because they think it is too small.

The two motors have only 189cc's difference, the CA's cylinder head has a much more reliable design (direct from cam to lifter), and the CA has a cast iron block.

The SR has a aluminum block and is of cheaper construction; but for sure it is definatly faster than the CA. People have many cylinder head issues with this motor (I believe it has to do with the rocker arms it has).

Im not hating on the ka-t....i just dont want to modify a 200k mile motor...Well then the CA18 might just be a decent choice...I will check into it...you just dont hear to many people with that swap or i dont...but i havent had a job and or been on the boards in bout 7 months either
