Depends on what you are swapping and into what. If it's S13 engine into S13 chasis... easy, probably the easiest of all motor swaps. If you are doing some sort of hybrid, you'll run into wiring problems that can be wired up by any competent person. S13 SR to S13 chasis takes all but half a day to a whole day to swap.

i agree. what motor you want and what car you got? wiring is the hardest thing... that and makes sure you know what other parts you have to get besides the motor, like fuel pump and stuff... overall not too hard

i drove mine to a friends shop on Tuesday, and was driving on Friday. that's with a auto to manual swap also. it was there 2nd SR swap. 10k miles later and it still runs like a champ.

i did mine in my parking spot of my apartment! got pics to prove it too. dropping the motor in was easy and it took about 10 min. but for some reason, i ran into problems putting other people's motor in. i don't know why but we did. took me about 3 weeks to get everything together but i took my time and changed most of the seals and even took apart the intake mani. it's still clean after 6k of driving. I can now do a swap in about 3-7 days, but i wouldn't recommend it. changing the seals out with the motor out of the car is a whole lot easier.
