i have a 97 hardbody and im wondering what is involved in do an sr20det swap into my truck any help would be greatly appreciated

few differences i would imagine. i think if you are interested it should not be too hard. i think the steering/manifold will be a little more of an issue.

ok, you pull out the old motor. then you have to figure a way to get the new motor to sit in the truck. this is easy on 240s as they use the same mounts. they prob do in the trucks too. then you may need to work some magic on the steering shaft or get a custom exhaust manifold to clear it. then you run the wiring harness to all the plugs and stuff the ecm in the truck somewhere. then you have to match up a few wires in the engine harness with the trucks main harness. i dont remember which ones. this should be similar to one of the write ups into a 240. the differences will all be on the truck side. then hook up your custom exhaust, intake, and intercooler setup. the driveshaft may fit or it may not. i dunno. if you have a cutter and welder you can make it fit.
