Budget extra. Brainstorm a parts list before you do anything. What ever you come up with, add AT LEAST $750 on top of that price. Make sure the wiring harness if full. Dont forget you will most likely need to relocate the battery. Have your mounts examined. If it is an older 240 (89-91ish) there is a pretty good chance you will need new ones. What all do you have done to the car? If it is bone stock you are gonna need lots of mods. Make sure that when you get the engine you have it check out again. Determine if things like the clutch are still usable. (I was lucky to find an Exedy clutch on mine, got me a nice little back-up now).

More suggestions: be patient, have fun doin it, dont compromise!

word, listen to this man, he knows. as an added bonus, quiznos also miraculously fixes cars when a sandwich is placed in the passenger seat......sometimes.

yeah swap it urself or at least attempt to. Most of it is plug and play. Its not all that much work unless there will be some sort of custom fabrication being done (im guessing there isnt).

DO it urself and u will feel alot better about ur hard work and effort. Also if something goes wrong u will be more likely to pin point the problem instead of towing it back to "some guys" and going "idk whats wronge."

Then they charge u another few hundred dollars. Alot better to just do it for urself.

If you need tips on what needs to be done ill be glad to help u. If you go to Heavythrolle.com they have an online guide that basically shows u what needs to be done step by step. They are very helpfull too.

If you havnt actually bought ur motor yet they are a good source and very helpfull.

you should still research everything on the sr even though your not gonna install it. best to know your info. i would not want an sr member to look like a dumb ***, to have an sr and not know his car.
