I am looking into getting an SR20DET from a place called "Japan Motor Import". http://www.japanmotorimport.com I can't find any info on any one who has bought one here on this forum so far? I was wondering if anyone knew about this place. I have been back and forth with 1 person who has bought one of their motors and after only had the oil seals go on the turbo, and some tiny with the transmission to. The price is awesome. everything for 2025 shipped to my front door. Good Yeah Nay?

Well i most likely dont have to go through the whole "you get what you pay for" blah blah blah. I honestly would go for a more reputable seller, but who knows maybe someone else has bought an engine from them....free bump.

Personally, I recommend Brisbane Motors over Venus. Much better selection - no wait at all - better prices (atleast for people who don't have friends that work at Venus), and awesome customer service. If you buy more than 1 front clip than you get hooked up. Best bet would be to find atleast 2 other guys in your area that are buying clips and buy with them...you'll end up saving a few hundred bucks...

i payed 2400$ for a 1998 180sx Type X blacktop with 28,000 MILES. Just make sure you go there with a compression tester...

I am looking for more a swap package over a clip ( i am short on space and a front end of a 240sx would look odd in suburb on your lawn). I was just checking em out. i really think I am gona go with japanmotorimport.com My friend had only his turbo seals go and a little tiny problem with his transmission nothing big. So

I recently purchased an sr20det w/ transmission for $1950 from Japanmotorimport, shop they have here in Sterling, Va. I came upon them online and theyre warehouse was in montreal, canada. I hit them up and got all the info on purchasing the motor later findin out they had a shop here in Va. I went and picked up motor and transmission from them. Fairly big size building with alot of motors from all type of cars. They also had an Rb26 i kinda was interested in but i wasnt tryna 2 do all the extra work. the guys there were pretty nice and helpful. The main guy who helped me out was at HOt Import Nights earlier dis month showin his 240sx coupe, looked prettynice. Had bout 8 more cars in his section so i guess these guys kno wat they r doin. they do swaps for $1200. Me and a couple buddies did my swap couple days ago and the motor started right up. their r still small things we needa do b4 i drive it but everything looks and sounds great so far. So if that helps at all with ur concerns on these guys ur welcome, if not then hey w/e.

Another thing while im here i have a garret t3/t4 turbo that i wanna slap on my sr from my Ka but i need the top mount manifold which i cant find so if any1 knos where i can get 1 PLEASE let me know. Im not tryna be runnin with this poopoo T25.

Yeah, i payed that much for my RB25DET from venus with about 25,000 miles on it, although i have a wholesale account with them, i assumed you have the hook up at brisbane , which i am not very familiar with. But hey, to each his own, Venus gave me good service, Although they sent me the wrong maf, and possibly a newer NEO 6 transmission, it all works and they sent me the correct maf asap.

Is that a 300zx hoodscoop?
