is there any difference in swapping the sr20 when you car is originally an auto or originally a 5 speed? i know you're going to get rid of the transmission anyways, but are there any other differences?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Do you want to convert an auto to a manual? If so, then yes, there are changes that need to be made. If you are putting a manual SR20 into a manual 240, then no, there aren't any additional changes beyond what already has to be changed. Enjoy your day!

you need clutchlines, slave cylinder, clutch reservoir, manual brake pedal, new clutch pedal, and the interior trim. You will also need a driveshaft from a manual 240.

But swapping in a manual SR20 into an auto 240 isn't too hard. It takes a bit of work but it can be done pretty easily.;)
