I have an almost stock SR (blacktop) Greddy IC, Hard pipes, HKS step one Cams, Blitz nur spec full exhaust and down pipe, Koyo aluminum radiator, and a few other odds and ends. I was going to go with a GT2871R turbo, but I would like to know how much boost the stock T25 will take first. Different people have said different things I have heard 12psi I have also heard 15psi (I can't see that). Just wondering if anyone has actually found a limit on their own.

I have several friends that have taken their t25's to 14 psi without any problem at all.. I have a gt28r set to 11psi and can pull on them pretty good though, so I would say to go with the upgrade if money isn't that much of an issue.

Popular concensus sasy that 13-14 psi is about where you want to stop pushing the T25. 15 is out of the compressor's effeciency range, and you put the turbine at a good risk of melting at that speed. 14 is doable, but you will shorten the life expectancy of the turbo.

As far as trying to compare if you're better off with maxing the stock turbo or getting a new, better turbo. I would go with the latter. Just make sure you do all the correct supporting fuel mods (injectors, MAF, ECU)
