Before I ask, 2 things: 1) The 2 ecus in questions are by megasquirt, They have one for ka and one for sr20det. 2) I've searched around and haven't been able to find an answer, only people asking about swapping stock ecus (which most of the time seems to end up in a tuning issue or an issue with cas/dizzy, which shouldn't be a problem here with this being a standalone, right?). Anyways, I found a good deal on a used megasquirt pnp2 for sr20det on marketplace (with these ecu's being $800+, I've been trying to find a deal on one). I have a hardbody, which takes the same mspnp as the s13 ka. I have looked at the pinouts and they seem close. (Looks like tach signal is on 3 & 2 for sr20 & ka respectively). This said, I'm sure I could make the harness part work with little effort, and tuning shouldn't be an issue as I'll be doing complete custom tuning myself with tunerstudio. So has anyone had any experience with anything similar? Or is there something that would make this not work that I'm too stupid to see? Thank you for taking the time to read/respond.

Also, figured I'd add: I sent an email to DIYAutoTune, and asked them the same question, but figured I'd post this in the meantime.

DIYAutoTune got back to me, figured I'd update this if anyone was curious, or to help anyone looking for the information in the future.

Quote from Matt at DIYAutoTune:

"The two ECUs (NJ8994 and NS8994) only differ in their factory jumper
settings and the tune they ship with; they're otherwise identical. So
all you need to do is change the internal jumpers from the "JDM S13
W/SR20DET" to "All Others" in this illustration, and load the KA24E tune
from this link ... You won't even need to modify your wiring."

I'll attach the image he sent me, as well as the link for the base tune.
