I'm wondering to go rb or sr. How much would everything cost for rb or the sr

SR20VET + CD0009. The last way to still be original with an SR.

Do it. Like a BOSS. Budget be damned.

SR will be cheaper, but if you're asking that question.. You need to research more. Google has all the answers.

S15s from factory were rated at 250 HP. We can safely assume that's crank HP since manufacturers prefer to use that to sell instead of what's seen at the wheels. Your cheaper RBs (20s and early 25s) will net you between 210-250 factory rated HP and the cost substantially rises from having to shoe horn the motor into your car. If you have deep pockets, you can spring for the newer RBs (like an RB25DET NEO) that will net you over 250 factory rated HP, but if you're trying to be cheap, I doubt you'd be able to go that route.

Just do some research and form your own opinions based on your situation and desires and not what some forum goers will tell you to do. Normally, I shut threads like this down as we have an internal policy of keeping "which motor lol" threads to a minimum as they have erupted into flame wars in the past, but I'm feeling generous today and I'll leave it open unless I see the conversation going south or stupid.

The s15's speed sensor outputs a different signal than the gauge reads. Dakota Digital's SGI-5C calibration box is needed to make your speedo work properly.

what about using the S13 SR that would already fit yur car no problem, then use the T28 from the S15... That seems to be more popular and gives similar results as swapping in an OBDII SR into an OBDI car.... Idk. seems like less headache to me. And cheaper probably. Just a thought.
