SR20 questions

hey guys,I just picked up a 91 240sx with 180 blacktop. The head gasket is bad. I need to replace the head gasket. And at the same time I will just change my timing belt. I am just wondering where I can get these two parts for a reasonable price? I am really new to this car.

You should spend some time on the internet just reading about the car and things about the motor.

Now, to answer your question.

To replace the headgasket, I would reccommend getting New Intake Manifold gaskets, Injector O-Rings(if bad if youre on budget), Exhaust manifold->Head Gaskets and a Headgasket. There is no timing belt. It is a Timing chain. Make sure the timing chain tensioner feels stout and strong.

I hope you're pretty mechanic handy. I hope you didn't buy this car thinking it would be a 1-2 Hour job. You'll need a decent set of tools and an Factory Service Manual. I hope that the block and head aren't warped.

yah..i know...my friend has been driving with KA motor for 10 years...and he is a machenic....cz i got the car today..so i just wanted to know which website is better to get the parts. i used to drive an s2000 but i always love 240sx. and i got this car with 3500 with a bad head gasket. other than that, the car runs really really good.

i found a lot of different bore size of head gasket. I just want to know what is the stock bore size i should buy? and i probably will just buy the head gasket set so I can also change the exhaust and intake gaskets. I also found different prices. I found the whole set for 50 bucks on ebay, and i also found more than 200 bucks for just a head gasket. Well, I am really new to this car, but I just want to get it fixed asap. Anybody can give me some suggestion?
