sr20 question..

u guys prob hear this alot but i was readen up on the sr20 swap and i didn't hear of any one swapen the sub frame thingy .. i guess thats wat it is called . the thing that hold ur motor mounts..

to do the sr20, do i need to swap thatt? if not it will be no prob putten on in ..i put in a new rebuild ka24 in my friends 89 240sx sing cam auto

not i might buy a 240se 5 speed tranys and do a sr20 swap .. if any one near Pa Tamaqua is sellen a 240 sx with no under body rust or very lil under body prob's . email me [email protected] or if any one nows of a good forums plzz post one for me ty.

you dont need to swap that..it is a good idea to get new motor mounts however

ok so pretty much all i need is the sr20 motor trans wires ecu and all new mounts and bushens . an to do a tune up ,and a new cluth in it and all that. and wat about tie rod and stuff i see ppl put on be for the put in the motor.? and ty for the answer.

no i dont but im doing to get the car tonight maybe then when i sell my other car im ganna pick up the sr20 and do as much as i can with wat money i have, and wait till i get more money to do more.,

plan on spending $6k to do the swap, if you come out less, you'll have budget for the rest of the build...

You won't know what you will need until you get the clip/motorset...

you need to start searching there are many places to get a sr..google it..and as far as what you need..a new clutch is not necessary (unless already shot) but a good idea same for motor mounts and bushings as in suspension bushings? they have nothing to do with a new motor..search around there are many topics on this already on nico and like i said google it or search on here as to where you can get a sr
