Sr20 question. Not a vs thread!

Hey guys, one question, have any of you ever gotten tired of having an sr20? Reason I'm asking is because I'm committing myself into an engine swap this winter, and am stuck because I'm not sure if an sr20 would be worth it. I'm putting on my flame suit and Thanks guys

considering it is the engine that the car originally had in it and the abundance of low mileage JDM motors coming from overseas. The SR20det is the easiest swap out there for our cars well because it drops straight in. Is it worth it that is for you to decide -- stock for stock is an extra 70 hp or so worth 3+ grand? maybe but you better have your stuff together because this turbo stuff can nickel and dime you to death...

i LOVE SR's man. and so will you. they are very straight up motors that are pretty dam easy to work on. and the power potential is amazing

You're asking in the SR section. I'm happy with mine. I wouldn't mind more torque, but the motor has lots of potential that's been proven over and over again. Most swapped Hondas can't even compare and it doesn't take much to hang with the EVO's and STI's.

Put it this way, An sr20det's stock bottom end will handle 400whp very good! Our car's with 400whp is comparable 2 a ferrari f430's (600hp) Hp to weight ratio!
