sr20 problems

hey i been told the sr20's are full of problems, like oil leaks and vacum leaks mostly, is this inevitable or can it be fixed..?thanks

SRs dont just generate vac/boost leaks out of the blue. They are mostly related to user installation like not hooking up one of the vac lines, lines ripping, couplers come loose, couplers not tightened right, etc etc.

Oil leaks? Not that I know of unless your seals are shot but that happens to every motor I know so... just replace the seal.

like ILikeMy240sx said, and trust him, he's better than Mr. K himself, it all depends on the condition. vacuum and oil leaks can happen to any motor. as far as i know, theres no "common" problem with the sr. unlike the ka, where you have to replace the timing chain guide after awhile... =/
