it's the AIV system, get rid of it. Make sure you plug the hole on the O2 extention with a BUNG plug though.

I don't know what that box is but I kept it on my motor. You can get the plug from Heavy throttle for like $2.00 or it comes with the install kit, which also includes new belts and hoses..etc. You might be able to fill it with some JB weld or go to a hardware store and find a plug that big, but I am not sure what diam/pitch of the plugs is. The Install kit from HT is like $100 and it comes witha bunch of random stuff that you may/may not wind up using.

keep the black box too. it is a oil separator. it catches oil from the blowby and keeps it from going out the valvecover "t" and into your intake (why some turbos are full of oil when you get them).

or if you are using the k&n breather, it keeps it from spraying out of it.

I'm confused. Arent you describing a catch tank? I thought aftermarket catch tanks like the greddy attached to the other half of the "t" ?

that is true. they do attach also. the black box oil separator will GREATLY cut down on the oil that gets to the greddy catch can or whatever you use. greatly, not totally. there is still blowby that comes out of the valvecover too. mostly from the block tube, but some from the valvecover vent. shaun

empty the black box? no, it drains back down to the block after the blowby pressure is less then the gravity pushing the oil against it.shaun

you can also use 2 nickels in the hole and then impact the big nut back onto it. This will crush the nickels and make a hella nice fit.

I have mine like that and it it "A OK"

Yes this is Ryan's idea, give him the credit. I think nickles were made for the sole purpose of going into that dang ol hole. :)

The plugs are a special size in metric (so they can't be easly pluged) I have plugs that we make up here. $10.00 to your door.
