Hey and yes I searched

I can drive around town and everything all fine but if I ever step on it say from 2nd through 4th shifting at about 6k and just let off the gas the RPM's drop real low most of the time looks like about 200-300 RPM's then after a second or two they go right back up to 800 RPM's. Today I pulled into an empty housing development it's just the road no foundations or anything, I pulled the E-brake and did a little drift to turn around in the coldesac* (dont know how to spell that) it was in 2nd gear at about 4 to 5.5K the whole time i'm guessing about two or three seconds I was on the throttle and when I let off the gas the RPM's drop for a sec and the car dies....then I turn it on and couldn't hear anything out of the oridary so I just drove home, any suggestions??? Thanks and i'll keep searching.

Nah I don't think it's recirculated....is it damaging to the motor at all?

No.

NOOOOOO! Compressor Surge FTL. Think about it. You turbo is still spinning and compressing air when you let off the throttle and your throttle body closes. With no BOV where is all the pressure from that compressed air going to go? Sure it'll go against the throttle body but that's designed for that. Your turbo is not... Running no BOV is equivalent to slamming your compressor against the ground everytime you throttle off.

what he said, if u dont have a bov ur turbo is goin to spin backwards after all the pressure has nowhere else to go.

things that sound cool arent always good i would rather be safe than hurt my motor

I know compressor surge spins it backwards but I still might do it I donno probably not.I wanna upgrade the turbo soon anyways, is it bad for anything else besides turbo? Is the stalling bad for the motor???

i dont think it would be too god for the motor either u could probably f some stuff up if ur gonna upgrade why not just sell that turbo once u have to other one on or even just save it so if somethin happens to ur new one u dont have to worry about buyin another one before u can drive ur car again

its not gonna hurt anything by leaving the bov on. just wait a secound or three befor you push the clutch in after the bov goes off

I do wait...it does it when I take it out of gear I have to give it gas for the RPM's not to drop.
