My top mount turbo setup is very close to the t in my valve cover for my oil catc can lines. I'm looking for some pictures and ideas that people used to run there lines with a top mount turbo set up. One side of my T is almost blocked by the compressor housing of my turbo. What are opinions and facts of only using one side of the T and blocking the other? What are the risks and downsides of doing this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You need to have the block vent tube and that T connected somehow to equalize crank case pressure. If it's direct or there is a catch can between them (like the factory setup), you are fine. You can't block those off. The other side of the T needs a vacuum source (aka a hose to the intake tube). It's wise to put a catch can on this line as well before going into the intake tube. This is why I just converted to the S13.4 hybrid valve cover. It cleans everything up drastically. If you block off the T, you will have crank case pressure issues, which is not something you want to risk.

So if I were to block off one side if the T and bring vacuum in through another source I would be okay? I could pull vacuum from the intake the. Run that straight to the catch can, then put the catch can inline with the valve cover and block vent tube, I would be fine. Did that make any sense?

This is what I think I am getting from what you said, let me know if this matches. Block vent tube to catch can, catch can to Tee in valve cover. Another line from catch can to intake for vacuum. Front end of T blocked off. Is that correct? If so, that could work.

Yes exactly^ that way the front of that T can be cut off and welded, giving me plenty of room for my turbo. Thank you very much!

No problem. You can also remove the Tee and put in a single nipple fitting in its place. You can use the KA24DE or S14 SR single port nipple for this. It'll be cleaner.

I actually ended up tapping my valve cover for 3/8s npt so i could thread in an AN fitting. just another option.
