sr20 not starting

So I was driving my car winding out 3rd, shift into 4th and the rear locked up tires started chirping, throw the clutch in and shift to 5th. The motor dies and wont fire. Motor wants to turn over but not firing. I need help!

when you says, want to turn over, you mean turns like normal or with hesistation. If it's with hesistation then you probably threw a rod

When I try to start it, it cranks but doesnt start, it seems like its choking out like it's not getting air, my friend thinks it jumped the timing, but I am not sure, i am going to take the valve cover off tonight, and check the chain
