Hey guys i searched this issue and found nothing, so please help. Lastnight i was out taking pics of the car and had been driving it with no poblems then all of the sudden i shut it off to snap some pics and went to start it and it acted like the battery was dead it make the clicking sound then no sound. I got a new battery and had the same problem. Me and a buddy managed to get it push started so i could drive it the 100 yards to my place but when we got it runnin it wouldnt stay running and unless i kept the rpms up it would die or act like it was bogging down. Then i got it home shut it off and now it doesnt start or crank. i can hear the relay clicking and the battery is good. I took the starter out and had it tested, all good. Im not a electrical guy, just mechanical ha ha. Can anyone please help, its finally nice out and i wanna drive my car...thanks!

Tom

clutch switch?? key switch??

That would explain the problem of not starting.. but not the bogging..

The clutch switch is pretty easy to test, simply disconnect the connector to it and jump the two terminasl with some piece of wire and try starting it (be careful, car will start without depressing the clutch, obiously)

The clutch has two switches.. the one you want to test is the one closest to the firewall..

When this happened on my car it was because the rubber piece that is attached to the pedal, which actually pushes the button, fell of and the button wasn't being pushed at all.

good luck

get a stonger battery, fix the clutch switch, and if all that fails get a compression test
