Well, I drive the SR20 home for the weekend, 200 miles round trip, runs GREAT. The only problem out of the car I have is a few small leaks, and I have to pound on the gas to get her to crank during cold start. It eventually catches and idles fine. I drive home last night, get up this morning, crank her up, and drive it to work. I get there, no problems, I park the car, turn it off, and leave the turbo timer to shut her down as I go inside. I come out to crank it.... nothing. I pound the gas some, figuring it will catch. Nothing. I continue this, nothing. I check for fuel, and again nothing. The pump isnt pumping. We check the wires going to the pump, no fire. Check the pump using a hot and a ground, and squirt squirt, it pumps. We install the pump and start tracing wires. Fuel pump relay (EPI Pump? whatever) and no clicky, fuel pump fuse is fine. Theres 2 fuses there, both which are green and have EPI and EPI pump, or whatever weird name it gives. We replace the fuel pump relay, and it clicks now, but no fuel. So we swap the relay around, and no click from either. So we swap em back, and now the fuel pump relay wouldnt click.

So, we hotwire up the pump while its in the car. I get my friend to touch it to the hot post of the battery and I crank. We can hear the fuel surging through the lines, but still no crank. So I obviously have no spark or anything either. I just got the car, so I performed none of the modifcations to it, leaving me clueless on where to start. Could it be an issue concerning the turbo timer? The only reason I ask, is it was the last thing to have control over the car. Ive done all I know... so I ask you guys.

Did you change your fuel filter with your swap? Are your lines old? have you checked your plugs to see if they are getting fuel? I am assuming your motor is turning over and that you have checked for spark also. It would pay to do these things before assuming its your turbo timer.

If the timer has been installed for some time then it makes sense to think that is not your problem. they dont tend to just go bad very often, so I recommend checking everything else before going that route. It is also very easy to uninstall your timer harness to see if the problem lies there.

After you do these things then let us know.

Yes I changed the fuel filter. The fuel lines are brand new as well. The pump isnt even priming though, and yes the pump is good. Its new, AND we tested it. Yes I checked the plugs, no fuel. Yes I checked for spark. no spark.

Is the starter turning? Dont want to be rediculous but how did you check your spark?I cant remember, but I think the timer is connected with the starter...

anyway, you may want to troubleshoot your ECU. check for codes. just to make sure. and take out the timer harness and reconnect the ignition harness back together.

having a loose ground and a bad ignitor also cause the problems that you describe. If you know someone with an sr the ignitor thing is easy to check. If your battery has been relocated check that connection also.

the fuel pump things sounds strange though, so just to make the SR gods happy you should check for codes on the ECU.

How do I go about checking codes? Maybe Im supposed to know this already. Didnt think it'd work with a motor swap.

I grounded the coilpacks to frame and turned it over, no sparking. Ive tested it like this several times and it always has sparked.

The thing that blows my mind is no fuel OR spark. The pump isnt priming, and the coilpacks arent firing.
