Hi all,

I live in Japan. When I was at an UpGarage the other day I saw a set of SR20DET individual throttle bodies with fuel rail and RB20 injectors for sale. Being that my car already has ITBs (BNR32), I'm only curious as to what they're worth and how rare they are (they're the first set I've seen in many, many, many times to UpGarage). Does anyone know?

The for-sale label reads:
NISMO 4-Throttle (surotoru) PS13/
Silvia SR20DET Injector RB20DET

Thanks for your help!

I might be wrong, but I thought ITBs were standard on the Pulsar GTi-R. But since it's a transversely mounted SR, it's not a direct bolt on to a RWD SR as the inlet for the plenum are on opposite sides when comparing the FWD and RWD motors.

EDIT: Those velocity stacks wouldn't work on a turbo application anyways, so I don't know why they have the sale label for the DET model. It's possible Nismo released it for the DE models, however.

Double EDIT: Doing some googling, I came across a picture from the site starting with a Z.

Confirms it's for an NA SR20.

I also came across a company in the UK that makes ITBs for the SR.

I've never seen this until today, so for me, they're pretty rare.

Thanks for the clarification. I looked on the UpGarage website and it had it for an NA application also. IDK why it said "T" on the in-store label. In case you were wondering, they wanted around $1030 USD for them.

Sometimes I wish I had a S13 just so I can buy more parts... as if the GT-R wasn't expensive enough.

Thats badass! If I had an N/A SR, I'd be all over it.

I'd probably be more inclided towards a turbo swap if i had an NA SR... especially when just the ITB is over a grand. Now if it was ITBs for a 4A-GE...

I could imagine taking a NA SR20DE and adding the individual throttle bodies, and designing it to work with a turbo. I think the hardest part would be making a proper intake manifold to get the air into each throttle body.

Not for me, N/A SRs are a whole lot of fun in their own respect.

Not too difficult since one exists for the turbo platform. But like I said, since it's designed for a FWD motor, the intake plenum is reversed from a RWD intake. People have flipped it successfully in the past and had ITBs for the RWD SR20DETs.

A 4 pack SR20DET sounds real nasty. I need to find out if I can do this to a RB25DET.

I remember, years ago, Super Street magazine featured a blue S13 Silvia with an N/A SR20DE running ITB's. It was pretty cool. I keep trying to post the article, but Super Street's webpage keeps locking up my computer. Lame.

Google 'Super Street 240sx SR20DE ITB' and you should be able to find it.
