Sr20 hard to start

i was wondering if all sr20 engines are hard to start. mine takes 5-10 cranks before it will start. it has new plugs, coil packs,cas... i dont know if there is something wrong or if the engine is just hard to start. any ideas let me know

Shouldn't be, it should be like any other engine and start up right away. Are you sure your timing is right?

^ Mine (when the ignition switch doesn't fritz out) fires up after like half of a turn. It starts up nearly instantly.

yea mine didnt start right at first when the timing was off but after i fixed the timing it starts like a brand new engine.
