sr20 gti-r engine in 97 altima!

hey guys, im planning on doing an sr20det swap into my 97 altima in about a year or so. am trying to find the parts for the swap(transmission,ecu,etc)for the swap but am having a hard time finding.where do i find these parts and what other parts do i need? am not buying the parts now because im still saving up.just need to know where to get them.

it would be easier to buy a 240 or a sentra/200sx and do the sr swap on that

do a VQ swap...its cheaper...and better...im planning on doing that in a few months..also trying to save a few bucks...

the vq swap sounds cool too. i'm considering that too but it sounds like a really difficult swap. am also thinking about just putting a turbo on the ka instead.but i dont know what im going to do yet.am open to suggestions if anyone has any.

Think about a motor from http://www.jspecautosports.com they sell nice whole sets. I had a 95 u13 and swaped a bluebird in with no real problems. you only need a sr20de transmission and mounts thats just about it cause the set from Jspec comes with the engine, ECU and wiring harness for $1695. It's not bad.

You can find parts but they will cost. In Australia they have a model called a u13 bluebird sss . it's an altima with a sr20det and AWD. Yes the us gets screwed out of the good cars

Ill vouch for what Deville said as it's the same site i was going to buy my bluebird u13 sr20 from, they'll even give you tips on the swap, enjoy!
