bought the walboro fuel pump because for some reason the fuel pump stop working when I put the car in the on position. I installed the fuel pump correctly but it still doesnt come on. I'm starting to think that the fuel pump relay has gone out because it was working fine when it started cranking up. I need help on this one cause I went to Advance, AutoZone, and Napa auto parts, gave them the part number for the green fuel pump relay. When I gave them the part number they came out with a gray fuel pump relay and told me that it still will work, its just an aftermarket part so its a different color. I put the new relay in and nothing. I can't figure out what it is but I narrowed it down and that has to be the problem. Maybe this has happened to somebody else and I can get some input. Thanks

If it is working when you have it the start position and not when it is in run, you probably have a bad ignition switch. Get a meter and check the voltages on the wires under the steering column.

The problem is it was working, then all of the sudden it just stopped. I installed the new fuel pump cause I thought the factory one was bad. I installed the new fuel pump and the new one didn't even come on when I put the car in the start position. I know the fuel pump works cause it was brand new and I installed it correctly. I'm thinking that its the fuel pump relay which is labeld (EGI, and EGI pump).

Have you checked for voltage at the pump? If you get a meter you can track it to where it is bad and fix whatever it is rather than just throwing parts at the problem. I fought with mine for a little bit because the Junction box in the kick panel was a little loose.
