I recently aquired a 99 g20 sr20de longblock and I want to know wether or not it will work in a 90 240sx. I know that a sr trans will bolt up to it, and all turbo parts will also bolt on changing the pistons and rods of course.

It's FWD, the 240 is RWD. It will not work. Search if you want reasons.

It doesn't need VTC just because you have an S14.

And you waited not even two hours to bump the thread? And it took you four posts to do it in?

This, right here, is an example of how a new members should not act.

NO. IT IS ORIENTED FOR FWD.

Nils,

clutch master cylinder went out. I wasn't driving anywhere. I'm coming out there last friday of the month though. Maybe you'll be registered by then? If not, I'll talk to my friend when I'm out there, see if we can get you legal again my friend ;)

Well then you obviously know Nothing, because the blocks and bellhousings are completely different! You might get 3 or 4 bolts lined up, but you're not getting a starter in there !!

the distributor will hit the firewall, as it comes out the back on fwd. mattback may be correct that the trans won't bolt up, or at least the starter. but you will need a rwd oilpan, rwd head, the water and oil journals are also not the same, so i don't know if the rwd head will be "bolt on". you need mount plates from a rwd.....etc. just buy a rwd setup.shaun

ps. i heard the skyline motor fits! but chicks really don't dig inline 6 motors. so go with ka/sr/ca

So here's my question, can I fit an H22A into my 240? Its an S13 and I'll be using an S2000 transmission?

You have to use a 4G63 shift linkage and an ECU from a 67 GTO, and fuel injectors from a 66 Mustang. You will also need the rear differential from a 97 Civic Hatchback.

I've got the shift linkage, but that ECU and rear differential sound a little hard to find, I guess I'll have to go to the local junkyards. You know I've been thinking of NOSing the engine too. I think a 1000 shot wet is what I want to do. Should I modify the internals at all? How hard would this be? My budget it about $15 too.
