sr20 emissions in GA?

For those who have an sr20 engine in GA how do u get past your emission testings?

register the car outside of atl thats what i did

im in the metro atlanta area and my county is one of some which are required to have emission testing every 3 years.

if you have family in another part of GA besides atlanta, use their address to register the car. maybe that would work. good luck man!

you'll have to ask around and find a "friendly" emissions inspector. for a sum you might have an answer.

yea i dont know how it works in GA, But in PA you have to get it inspected every year. And they check emissions as part of it. But there is a loophole. If you can find a mechanic thatll do dirty work, he can give you stickers for a nice price. Or if it exists like it does in pa there are exempt stickers too they look the same only it says exempt on the emissions sticker. uhm, theres no real difference only the exempt means they dont check emissions cuz the car was driven under 10k mi. for the year. even though you can drive as much as you want, its just so they basically ignore the emissions. a mechanic that does dirty work usually has these as well. just ask around a mechanic. even if he dont inspect your car, they always know someone that would do it for you. so ask a cuople mechs. good luck bro

Any updates on passing emissions? I'm a transplant to GA so I don't have family that I can get to help outside the metro area.
