Hey everyone, I have decided to do the SR20 swap after alot of consideration and talking to people. I live in Kent Washington and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any places to have it done? I already talked to auto salon in Federal Way and they said its going to run me about $5,500 with the clips and all. They said it would also include the Stage 2 clutch. Let me know if you think this is a fair price. Also, recommendations of ways to pursue this swap would be helpful. I was thinking about buying one off line but I have been warned not to do that. Let me know what you think I should do. Thanks.

It looks as if you have a 1990 240 so if this is for an s13 sr20det then that is outrageous. You can buy s15 swaps for 3000 and s14s for 2500 or so. It should cost no more than 1 grand in labor. If that includes a complete engine rebuild then it would be worth it but for a clip with a lot of miles on it -- no way...

If you want a good place to do your swap for you. I'd recommend U.P. Garage in University Place. Pricing will be better and I guarantee you the work will be better too.

Yea I looked them up and pricing does seem way better although the only SR20 they have right now has around 70,000 miles on it so I'm going to wait awhile and see if they get something with less miles. Thank you alot for the reccomendation. Are you from Washington?

I am not from your area but check out totaljdm -- My swap was 2750 and came out of a 98 s14 with less than 38 thousand miles. The thing looks brand new. They are legit....
