Alright, so i scored a kouki sr20 clip that Im getting ready to install but i dont know what kind of clutch its running (look like exedy or nismo). I dont think the clutch can handle the power cause the flywheel looks all chewed up & slipping.

Also dont know the exact hp its pushing but its got a tubular manifold, hksgt2540 turbo, apexi fc commander(no monitor), z32 maf, 555cc injectors, 15 row oil cooler, tomei cams, hks cam gears, aftermarket headgasket, fmic and ngk 7119R-8 spark plugs, rated 8?. looks like big power it might be built bottom end.

Does anybody recognize this clutch? What spark plugs to replace these withand how much power u think the sr is pushing. I need to replace these parts so i can get the shiz in!

Clutch looks stock IMO.. If its not its still only an organic replacement either way. Let me know what you need and i can put together something good for you. The flywheel looks like it only needs a resurface, however if you want to do it all at once i can set you up with a sweet deal on getting everything replaced.

It looks like an OEM replacment. Upgrade it while you have it out. Flywheel too. You should be able to find the plugs easy.

it could be a stock or exedy clutch. for the spark plug get either (bkr6e, bkr7e or a bkr7e-ix if you want iridiums.

HKS' website states that turbo is rated at 360/370PS which is roughly same as our horsepower measurement. It's about 355-365hp rating on the turbo. As for the clutch, what others have said, and the plugs, your heat range should match your power and boost levels.

yeah I would stay with ngk v power 7s and replace them every 3 or 4 oil changes. No telling about the head gasket though and you will need a shop with data logit to tune that ecu. It good be a gold mine or a lot of trouble. You will not know until you try and fire it up. I would guess some where around 320 to 340 whp from the sounds of it so far maybe more if you have a great tuner. Good luck with it. A exedy stage 2 or whatever is 300 to 400 bucks will hold -- I run close to that power level now and never had any trouble with it.

I know this is pushing big power cause the set up but whats tripping me out is the rated 8 spark plugs cause they run those on 450 + hp levels and this set up is prolly only pushing 300+. The clutch was recently put in cause it looks almost brand new. So you guys think whoever had it this setup didnt know what he was doing and put in a underpowered clutch and over powered spark plugs? Also the plugs have a lot of carbon build up which i heard happens to plugs that are too coldfor the power.

If you look at the fly wheel either the person who had it rode the clutch / not letting of the clutch right away or the clutch cant hold the power & and I can tell the clutch was recently put in cause it looksalmost brand new. Im i going to have to get this retuned?

maybe maybe not. the apexi ecu will get a rapid CEL when it detects spark knock. I would for sure pickup a wand if I was you so you can monitor stuff. It is for sure worth it if you have the FC which I do as well. I believe I would double check the tune though cause things like backpressure in your current exhaust on your car could be different than the car it was on. I am curious to see what power level you make. Did you pay the same price we all pay for these engines? like 2 grand or so? My engine had an aftermarket KIDS ecu tune on it as well so I think tuning in Japan is an everyday occurrence. They play and change all their cars a lot more often then people here do.

Thanks for the info Now I need to find a wand. I might change out the clutch for maybe an act street or use the existing one since it looks almost new. Im still in need of intercooler, Wire harness, etc and so ill keep u posted on the whp if i end up retuning since this guy was prolly running race gas but since its for the street and ill prolly running different plugs and premium gas Imma change the spark plugs to rated 7's and see how it runs and oh its running 555 cc injectors.
