What up guys, Im a little lost right now. I put a gate valve on my sr20 red top to up the boost just a little bit, maybe to 10 psi. For some reason the boost stays the same. It's hooked up to the right vac line and theirs no leaks to my knowing. I set the valve so that no pressure would reach the wastegate and it stays at .5 bar, It spikes to just past .5 and drops back to just below .5. I saw something on the ecu called Turbo Boost Pressure Control Solenoid, whats this and could it be the problem , it sound as if it causes the turbo to cut back to stock boost , but i really don't know. Any help is welcome

Yes, there is a few things you should know; if you have the Boost Pressure Control Solenoid still that might be it. Also if there is a problem the ecu sees the ecu will go into limp mode and you wont be able to boost past 7 psi. The Boost Pressure Control Solenoid is on the head between the CAS and the stock catch can. Some people have unpluged that harness plug and it goes up to 10 psi. I removed my Boost Pressure Control Solenoid n switched to a 3" turbo elbow . Also the stock wastegate line has a little restrictor in the line, when I switched to a unrestricted line my boost went from 7 to 10 psi. now I have a MBC set to 20 psi

Thanks, by CAS are you referring to the crank angle sensor? What does the boost pressure control solenoid look like anyway? I did a image search on it and couldn't find jack. If any body has a pic of it that would be awesome.

Its kinda square, It bolts to the head with 4 bolts, It has a hoes on top that runs to the turbo outlet and its about 4" x 6". Most people just remove it. Is that your motor in your sig? If so it lookes like you dont have it. Yes CAS.
