SR20 Boost solenoid

Hi all im confused about this Boost solenoid on my Redtop SR20. Some say it will control boost to 10lb of Boost. Some say max boost is 7psi.
What is the correct theory on this? Since ill be running S15BB on it soon, do i need to use it or i can just throw it away? Im planning for Low boost with stock maf injec pump intercooler

Throw it away - in 15 years playing with 100+ SR's I have never once seen it functional. Stock WG boost will be 7-8 psi if everything is operating correctly.
