i found a sr20 block for 250 is it worth it to build a spare sr20 i plan on getting one in the spring and i could build a back-up its at phase 2 or who ever one of the links there are

What are you doing with your car??

I would love to have one if I were racing all the time and really pushing my engine( and if I were rich enough ) but I just plan to drive mine. So, for me at least, it is not worth it.

Do it if you can though. build a monster. stroker kit anyone??? hehe...

Yeah keeping a spare around ensures that if something internally goes wrong then you have a spare to hook up without waiting. Other parts can usually be easier to locate and replace but the engine bottom end and cylinder head arent as easy to replace without searching around (I presume).
