How much do I need to torque the bolts on the oil pan? Anyone know?I've looked around but I cant find anything..every time I search I just end up with engine torque specs.

to the best of my knowledge torque specs are negligable on the oil pan as that area isn't pressurized like the head. just tighten it down well and make sure it seals correctly then give all the bolts a good random torquing with an 3/8 ratchet and you should be good.

Its 18 NM for the Ka, and the oil pans are both sealed with RTV.

i should have read this before, I overtorqued a pan bolt and snapped oneas a result it didnt seal properly and started leaking in the front.

but the car isnt running and my pan was already dented so I am replacing it with an oem pan.

but... non of that really matters
