Okay here's my problem. I have finally found a very nice 240sx in my area with a blown motor for a good price, but it's an automatic. I'm planniing to do a SR swap if i decide to get this car.

So I guess what I'm asking is what do I and what don't I need to do an auto to manual swap on this car if i do a SR swap. I know I'll need the clutch and break pedals, and the clutch master and slave cylinders, but what else. I read the article in the How-to section but I'm not 100% sure what I do and don't need.

Thanks for your help in advance,-Jon-

PS - If I get the car I'll probably get the SR from Dauntt, so Daunt if you read this is there anyway you can get the things needed for the auto to manual change and how much would it be?

Thanks Buud, I'll check those later. I'm at school right now and I don't have time to look at them all.

Thanks again,-Jon-

Well considering i am/was in your same situation, i asked daunt that questions. Parts for the manual swap will run you about 300 dollars or so through him, depending on what he can find. Labor will also be an additional 300 dollars if you are having him install it. Those were the prices that used to be on his site regarding a manual swap, but i dont know if they have changed now that he is actually open.

I did it for my S14. Get a manual drive shaft, finisher plate, clutch pedal, manual brake pedal, clutch master cylinder, hydraulic line there are more parts needed like the metal line from the hydraulic line to the slave cylinder. You can get the parts for like 220 or so from a wrecking yard. E mail me if you have any questions.

Ace, do u know if the sohc transmissions are interchangeable with dohc engines? Im also tryin to do an auto to manual swap. I have heard that there is just an extra sensor or sumthing on the sohc transmission and that is the only difference so it should work. Can u clear that up for me?

I don't know about that sorry. I just know what it takes and how to swap from an auto to manual when doing a SR swap.
