yes, after my original alternator died, I swapped on the one off my old ka24e. On the de, the bolt screwes into threads in the end of the casting, the 'e' runs through a steel bushing and has a nut and lock washer on the opposite side. The steel bush sticks out about 1/8" and needs to be ground flush with a bench grinder (or file) to the edge of the aluminum. Then it swaps on. After that one died (I had electrical gremlins) I bought one for a ka24de and drilled out the threads, and installed it the same as the 'e'.
The castings were identical, both were made by Bosch, and the bosch part number was the same.
Both were hard to get the belt on. Im not exactly sure what the problem is, but the range of motion is limited. This means its very hard to get the belt on. It can be done, Ive done it more times than anyone should have to.
