So my car at idle is doing 47 degrees of ADVANCE timing. If I take the bolt out for the CPS and adjust it to 10 degrees, the car doesn't idle very well at all, and it won't start when you turn it off and try to start it. The car runs pretty good at 47 degrees of advance, when you rev it, it goes all the way to 53 degrees. This s*** is scary. So obviously the car is parked.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Could my CPS be bad? I just re did the timing as well.

Were you setting the timing with the tps disconnected like the FSM says? Also I think that the base timing should be 15* at idle. The timing loop can be off and the best way to get a good signal is to get a spark plug wire between the coil and the plug.

yes like he said something could be wrong with the way ur timing light is hooked up....that is if ur 100% that ur motor is in dialed in....re-check ur timing light and if that doesnt fix it then i would suggest pulling the vc and go thru the process again and make sure the cas is aligned properly

You need to remove the CAS and re-punch it into the head, this is extremely bad for your engine.
