Hey guys, Don't really post much on NICO but I guess I should start, so what better way than to start my build thread and let you guys see what I am spending all my money on.

The story starts back in October 2007 when I bought my 1989 240sx Coupe. Motor was already swapped and had some nice bolt on's (TB exhaust, suspension,AFC, etc) Car was awesome and when I put a diff. in it, it was even better. Well July of this past summer car started running really weird so Hanna (Best1Tuning) took a look at it, turned out to be some wire gremlins so I decided to get a street tune at 14psi and the car had never ran better! Well after the tune I decided to do a Compression check, and this is where the bad news comes, 150 in 1,2, n 3 cylinders but 4th barely made 90. Delt with the car for about another month, then I said ok time to go big or go home.

Tore the motor out and broke the whole thing apart and turns out.....

Checked cylinder walls and 3rd & 4th walls had some scortching.....

So after I had the whole motor apart I sent the Block and the Head to R&W Enterprise in Marshalton PA, Shop is just a guy and his father, have had the shop open for decades and they do awesome work. With the motor and head getting worked on I started ordering some parts......

CP 9:0:1

Eagle H-Beams

Apex'i triple layer head gasket

ARP Head Studs, BC 272 Cams, Tomei Solid Lifters

Nismo Motor & Trans Mounts

Exedy Twin Disc

Greddy RAS

TiAL 50mm BOV

Stock Fuel Rail w/ Tomei 740cc

Garrett GT35R

Well after a little while and some money getting saved up, I got the Block and the Head back......Block got 0.20 Bore with fresh deck and polished crank, and head got full port & polish with full radius exhaust valve job and a 4 angle on intake side. Manley 7mm SS valves and Manley Springs & Retainers

Shortly after getting the motor and everything back together and all gaskets done and cured bolted trans on and dropped motor back in.....

Well now I am just cleaning some things up in the engine bay, and doing some little wire things and new front harness. I am hoping that it will be getting started soon... Stay tuned for more updates!!!! p

Update 12/22/2008

Well My Haltech finally came in along with my Greddy Oil Pan and Lightweight Pulleys

And some of my AEM gauges came in also..Moved from an A-pillar pod to a cleaner vent gauge

And this is how she sits now, will be getting Tuned on the 27th by Hanna (Best1Tuning.com)

Do you think those 7400cc inj are enough to support the 35R? I'm thinking about going GT30R or 35R over the winter but don't know if my 72lbs injectors are enough for the 35R. 72lbs=@740cc

Yes, I'm very intrested to see your dyno graph. Is that a jgs custom mani or a treadstone? Just curiouc to see how the 35R spools on the log mani. You can save $800 on a top mount setup with the treadstone cast mani!

your build looks good but i would strongly suggest you should think about getting bigger injectors, obviously you have invested a good sum of $$$$ in your motor, and you are running a decent size turbo, you don't want the injectors to be the reason for another build. just my opinion

nice build, go big or go home it seems. 740's will be fine just fine for that turbo. good luck getting it running take some videos.

much props for the log style manifold, did you make it?

that will increase your spool time vs a tubular equal length style mani.

... pardon if im being mr obvious

Haha thanks Bro..No I didn't make the Mani but I did add reinforment plates so it has added support...

I am only going to run this manifold till spring time then im going with a Full Race equal length
