I have a 240sx with a sr20 swap, im having a problem with the transmission, when the car is off the transmission will shift into gear and when it is running it will not. The clutch pedal goes to the floor. The cap on the clutch master cylinder is craked, so does the clutch master cylinder just need to be bleed (after cracked cap replaced) or does it sound like a bad master cylinder or clutch?

bleed your clutch first, then see if problem persists. how would we know if yourr mc is bad when you have air in the system in the first place?

Clutch masters aren't expensive. You could just replace the whole thing. I don't know how old it is, but if the cap is cracked, the MC is probably old enough to warrant a replacement.

However, you definitely need to bleed out the current one and then see if your issue persists. Also, look at your slave to make sure it hasn't been dripping fluids.
