i'm just curious... can i run mid 12's on the 1/4 mile with 15psi? (s14 sr on a 89 s13) with a garet turbo manifold, front mount, bov, and 3inch turboback? if not then what else can i do bolt-on wise?

t25 or t28?

low 13s is very possible with a t25,so id say high 12s is possible with the t28.

haha. Yep that helps

I dont think you can predict 1/4 time with engine mods. Tires are realy important. When i went to the track the first time i did was 16.7 because i lost traction the next time i did a 16.1. (stoke ka)

let me know how that works out, I have a very similar setup (S14SR20DET powered S13 hatch). I'm running 13lbs of boost, putting down ~260hp to the wheels.

I did all the underdrive pulley's, S14 FMIC, S15 T28, greddy dump, 3inch all the way back exhaust, exedy stage 2 puck clutch..etc mods.

I have VLSD and 255 Toyo T1-R's keeping that to the ground in the rear.

Ive only been to the 1/4 mile track to watch, once I saw a redtop S13 do low 13's on 17lbs of boost (but his starts were slow).

Alright,

A friend of mine has a Redtop SR20 with FMIC, 550cc injectors, T28 GTI-R turbo, 14psi, and ran a 11.9 1/4 on drag radials, and a 12.3 on street tires..

I had that same problem; notice the plug on the right in this picture.

Honestly though, I don't think it did any damage. I knew the second it happend because the car ran like complete garbage as soon as it would reach boost, but after I swapped out plugs it ran fine.

15psi with T28. First off is making reliable power. 480 or 550 injectors, Z32 MAF and ECU tune. 256 or 264 cams will help. As for running 12's. Youll need some drag radials or slicks to achieve a 1.6-1.8 60ft. Its not too hard with practice.
