Here is a copy of my previous post in another forum... Can you get me the piece I need without havig to buy the entire assembly?

The outer trim molding on my 1998 240sx sunroof has broken into pieces. It is made out of fiberglass and seems to break a lot from what I understand. If that is the case, I figure there must be someone out there who has found a way to get a NEW piece without buying the entire assembly for $800. Of course, I know I can get it used if I can get lucky and find someone who has one for sale, but trust me those have been few and far between. I have never been fast enough to get to them before someone else has already laid claim to it. I was also wondering if it could be duplicated or if anyone has already done it or tried and failed.

I have searched the forums high and low and have not found any information that will help me resolve this issue. I have posted a similiar request on the WTB section, but have gotten no responses and only 5 views. So I am going to appeal to the masses for help. Feel free to chime in with any help for my issue.
