Hi, thank you for reading, I really hope you can help! Here is the situation;

(There have been no signs leading up to this problem) Yesterday I was driving down the highway and it all of a sudden felt like either fuel or spark was being cut off, I let of the gas and it drove fine, then I pressed the gas again and it would do the same thing. It would not accelerate at all. I pulled over (thinking it was gas, I walked to get some) put 28L in just to make sure.

I tried to drive again and it would not go, just barely able to crawl along, sounded like major misfiring. On idle, I can rev the engine and get as much gas spark and air as I want, it sounds normal and revs normally, but as soon as i put it in gear and start to drive, it starts to cut out and run really rough until the point where it will just stall. stragnely it doesnt do it as much in reverse.

I had washed my car and pressure washed the intercooler about 3 minutes before this started to happen and some water might have gotten in somewhere, but it should have dried out by now. It was blowing a bit of black smoke when it was running rough, which means too much fuel and perhaps a lot of misfire, so I changed the plugs today, they were black.

After changing the plugs, nothing is different. The fuel pump turns on with the ignition and runs, and when idling it pumps as much gas as needed, although if it is held at a certain RPM then it kinda blips and sounds like a cylinder isn't firing.

I'm not sure what to do from here, if anybody can help me, that would be just awesome because I really need my vehicle to be working!

Thanks!Aaron

I'd say sounds like water in the distributor cap, but those are DIS aren't they? If you've got a BOV that vents to the atmosphere, I'd check to see if you sprayed any water in it. Other'n that, look down near the bottom and make sure you didn't dislodge something with that pressure washer.

Sounds like you've either sucked up some of that water thru the airbox, BOV, or some leak somewhere or sprayed something loose.

EDIT: Oh, and to clear you up on the in gear/out of gear issue, reverse is an easy gear to push, the forward gears aren't so much, so that's not really a concern.
