CAS timing must be off. Have you change anything recently? Just swapped? background of problem is needed...

Your base timing might be right but the igntion can be 180 out. Does it pop or sputter sometimes?

recheck the ignition timing. Set to TDC remove valve cover and pull CAS and reset.

whats the proper way to set ignition timing . i heard you were suppose to ground a wire out or something cause the CAS is positioned right and everything is in time

If your getting spark, fuel, you might check maf voltage. But I always double and triple check timing.

When you say it has spark, Did you check the voltage for the coils or did you check the plugs?

I never used a timing light and it worked great. But supposedly you can just use wires going to the coil packs. Or you can take the coil pack out, hook up a normal plug wire to it and then to the plug itself. I didn't do it but this is what I read.

try double checking the wiring of your ignitor chip if you are using a different chip other than the SR onei'd also check clean the plugs again depending on how badly you may have flooded it...they could be soaked with fuel

Ok i had same problem engine would turn turn turn but no dice

so i took out the first spark plug stuck a metal rod in there (so its on the piston) then i set to TDC i knew it was TDC cuz the rod was way up high

then took off the valve cover took out the CAS

ok now the important part the look at your CAS there should be a little indented line near the black part then line up the first dot on the shaft to the line

put it back in carfully trying not to twist it and the second dot on the CAS shaft should turn and line up with the indented line near the black part

so you checked every single coil pack to make sure its getting spark? this is what happend to mine it would crank and crank but no start try switching the fuel lines from the fuel filter to the nipple closest to back of the motor and take the fuel line coming off of the hardline from the bottom of the car and put it on your fuel pressure regulator.

Yea fuel lines being backwards will cause a no start situation. My buddies SR had this issue. He fought with it for a week until they figured it out.

Also if its not that and is sputtering on start. Recheck ignition timing.

Im talking about the CAS timing (alignment). Doesnt have to run to set the CAS.
