Lets see, I think you can do some tests to make sure it is your relay, did you check the fuel pump fuse? Just little things like that, I'm sure you don't have to take it to a shop. What about the wiring that goes by the battery. You sure you got those spliced and connected properly? I'm just saying because i"ve done like 7 S13 SR Swaps into S13's and the first two I had similar problems and it's due to improper wiring. The last 5 started on the first try and there isn't a lot of things that could go wrong. Just the wiring by the front of the car is the most important set that you have to rewire because some of the wires do not line up if you didn't already know that. If everything is correct, just hardwire the fuel pump to the battery to see if that works, if it does and you can't get the original relay to run the fuel pump, then just custom your own relay to run the pump, if you're not sure on how to do that, just let me know.

also the MAF from a 91- 240sx works on the sr right? or does it have to be from a 89-90? maybe this is why its doing it? i saw it on the sr parts list thread....

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me. That's what my SR does when I leave off hoses and stuff - which is more often than I'd like to admit. :)

Try starting the car without the maf, and see it it idles better with it. My car idled fine with out maf but not with the MAF on. That was because I didn't connect the MAF to turbine. And it started and died right off.

I don't know, if the KA24DE works, I heard that it will start but won't work as nicely as the KA24E MAF does. Also I doubt the Ka24De will work with Ka24E MAF. I may be wrong.

Hope this helps,

no 91-93 maf will not work. only the 89-90 maf will. im positive it's the maf that's causing your car to shut off.

Turbowned, i doubt that too.
