Hi guys, i need some help and any would be greatly appreciated. I did an SR20DET swap a few months back and then wanted to go faster so I started with some upgrades. I put in Nismo 555cc injectors, Z32 MAF, Front mount intercooler, HKS SSQV bov and an Apexi S-afc. I finally finished with all of that today and tried to start it. Baby started on first turn. Jumpy idle but was working fine when engine was cold. I shut it down to go grab something in the house and came back and tried to start it again... Did start, but black smoke out of exhaust...?? barely holding on at about 200-300RPMs. When you try to give it some gas it goes up to around 2k and then bogs and dies. I did reset the S-afc to factory defaults. Here are some things i noticed but dont know if it should be like this...

1) when you blow into the bov it lets air through. Normal????2) The injectors didn't get sucked into the rail like the stock ones. Normal??3) The MAF plug had 2 grounds. I wired them together. Is this right?

Once again any help would be appreciated THANKS TONS!!!

I dunno about 2&3, but if you can blow through the BOV you are probably really rich (black smoke=unburnt fuel). I have a KAT with an uncirculated BOV for now, and it will barely idle, and runs like 10.1 and richer at idle. This is because air that is metered by the computer gets blown-out, but the computer still squirts the same fuel. That was long, but fix your BOV and see what happens.er, you have an S-afc, I don't know if it will compensate for the atmo BOV at idle or not, regardless, if you can blow through I assume the path compressed air will take something is wrong with the BOV
