Heres my story, ima try to make it short. Before i installed it the car started, but i had to turn my CAS to get it running. Ignition timming off i know gonna fix that when car starts! While i was removing my intake manifold i obviously had to take off the fuel lines, coolant line(never knew coolant ran through the TB) and plugs, grounds, etc. I never released fuel pressure so when i took off the lines some fuel came out. Same with the coolant. Put on new intake manifold (by the way its stock) vacuum lines and crap and try to start the car and it wont. Motor cranks, checked spark has that, now i hear the fuel pump turn on when i put the key to on, runs about 3 sec. then stops. Just checked compression for fun of it since i was diagnosing, 160 on first and 150 on the rest. No idea what the hell is wrong. My car was starting before by just turning the cam sensor so im assuming that is working properly. I pulled off the fuel line from the fpr to see if fuel was going through after i had cranked the car and i got my daily dose of some gas in my face So i was assuming my fuel was going through. Is there another way to see if fuel is feeding to my engine? Any help or suggestions on where to start diagnosing next .would be great. IM so lost!!!!!

If your turning the engine over, and trying to get it to start...i know that it started to reek of fuel in my garage, and i pulled a plug and it was f***ing rediculous....the fumes like poured out...and the plugs were soaked in fuel...so if youve been cranking it. check the plugs again...and that should also tell you if you have fuel.

and i know its stupid but make sure the injectors are plugged in...i seem to forget stupid s*** like that sometimes

I checked the spark plugs no fuel on them. My garage reeked but i believe thats when the fuel hose popped off and fuel shot in my face. Yes all pluggs were checked and their all connected.

It sounds like the timing is off to start with.

In addition to that, you may have some plugged injectors.Of course you also need to double check the grounds.

If it started up and ran, I would also look at the fuel lines. Are you sure you didn't get them crossed?

good question about the fuel lines. I had them hooked up wrong. Do you think i could have caused any damage to anything by having the fuel lines crossed?

Are these the marks that line up? If so, i believe the cam lobes on cyl #1 must face away from each other. When all that is good just stick it right in and try starting correct? I have a timing light and know how to time but ive never used it without the engine running. Can someone back me up on this.

Just to double check but your(chill) car is the white 240???? Redtop with the fairly large turbo?

1. Never saw a sr20det with a distributor.2. Maybe i'm looking really wrong but do you seriously have your hot pipe straight to your throttle body?!

Dunno, just my 2cents but there may be a couple problems.

its messed up but some where some time i heard of ppl putting a distributor (prob from an se-r) when coil packs crap out... and poor people can run no i.c. but no high boost bc of the temps... right now i am putting a t25 on a zx2 escort... its gonna be a pita but its more for the learning experience, and we arent running an ic on that car, until the kid can afford an ic... it will still boost, but w/e do what you can afford i guess...

JWT Allows you to modify your SR to run on the KA ecu and ignition system.

Check their site for more info on it.

thats pretty ghetto, how could you manage to put an SR in a car and not have $150 for a ebay intercooler.

Hell you can get a sidemount for $0.25 and a hug. Not to pick but come on. Oh well to each his own.
