Like the title says, my SR won't start. I was on the highway and it was bogging just a little, so I pulled over to just check the fluids. Everything looked fine, but when i went to start it again, the motor cranked but wouldn't fire up. The first two times I cranked, white smoke came out of the exhaust. Intercooler piping looks good, no leaks as far as we can tell. I think I'm burning oil. BTW, S13 SR in S14. Any suggestions? Thakns

Tried to start it up today without doing anything at all (it's been sitting in my driveway since I had it towed yesterday) before doing anything at all. To my surprise, it started up. I had to give it some gas to get it going at first, and white smoke came out of the exhaust once again, but it started and seems to be running fine. Now when I start it I don't need to give it any gas, it starts like normal, no white smoke or anything. Just thoguht I'd share in case anyone else is having a similar problem.

might as well do a compression test or a leak down test. sounds kinda weird that your motor died all of a sudden. retighten your intercooler pipings also.

my SR has been doing this for a while now...no one has been able to give me a straight answer as to the cause of it...i doubt its the head gasget given the car doesnt over heat (or come ne where near it)...im guessing its either something to do with the turbo or the starter

Could it be the oil or water seals in the turbo going out?
