Ok we just got done doin a t3/T04 turbo, header, cams, intake manifold, 740cc injectors, GReddy E-Manage, Z32 MAFS, HG, RAS, FPR etc etc on an s13 5 spd redtop SR20.

Now When we try and turn it over it barely comes to life and you have to revv it to keep it alive...it barely idles and when we hold it steady at any RPM it stutters and hesistaes like a misfire...when we rev it ot sounds fine then idles for a second then dies(unless u revv it).....that one second it does idle sounds good but we hooked up a wideband 02 and it seems to be dying out from lack of fuel....it'll be rich then just lean out all of a sudden.....it leans right out....its almost as if the ecu is cutting the fuel right off. We even tried putting on the s13 MAFS again to see if the Z32 was junk but it did the same thing...it has to be something electrical....we triple checked the wiring to the Emanage and its not throwing any codes so I'm completely clueless.....anyone else run into a problem like this or have any ideas? PLEASE HELP!we have been playin with the emenage and addin fuel takin fuel and duty cycle and it still does that same exact thing.....

I may be way off, but just throwing stuff out. Have you checked for vaccum leaks. I know when I heard my SR run (still in the clip) it had several leak/open ends and it sputtered and would die, but if you held the throttle a little it would run pretty good.

On my KA I had some idling problems, ended up being a $.25 dryrotted vaccum hose. So definatly check over all that stuff.

This could be in the feild, but did u check your timing cause i noticed you put cams in. You might have a bad o2 sensor as well.

o2 sensor is ignored at idle and upper rpm. It is only used during cruising conditions. Try unplugging the maf then starting it to see how it idles. If it stays on and idles rough, then its your maf. My maf was a bad one sent by someone I would like not to disclose for reputation reasons, but it was a bad one none-the-less. It would start, jump into high idle for half a second, then just drop rock bottom. If I started the car using throttle to keep it alive, I would have to do throttle pumps to keep it running as steady hold on the throttle would lead to a slow rpm drop all the way down to zero. After the vendor I got my maf from sent a free replacement (the maf turned out to be the wrong one), it fired up like it woke up from a 10 year nap and purred like a cat.

so last night he took off the emanage (all soldered in YUCK!) and ran the stock ECU with the stock s13 Mafs and the thing ran mint....so it has something to do with the emenage....i dont get it tho because if everything was set to 0 on the emanage it should've ran too then....maybe it was hooked up wrong or something.....we used the wiring diagram from sr20 hybrids.....is that the right diagram for a redtop s13 sr20? Cause something aint right here....

I can't answer the above question, but note that there is a harnes adapter for the SR on ebay for $150. basically looks like it connects inline with the main harness and ECU and has the leads already done for you with the connection for the emanage.

I don't think the e-manage suxors, the emanage has a switch on the inside that you set for certain MAF types. You probably didn't open the emanage to set that.

r u kidding me? Seriously.....we know what we're doin and the emanage was wired and set-up correctly....and actually it doesnt have switches on the inside for MAF types.....there for motor types....the RWD DET being 4 0 7...which was set correctly....the jumpers on the inside is for Vtech which i dint have so they were left alone....the maf is setup on the laptop or e-01.....Z32 which is HW2 and then we even tried the s13 mafs (HW8) and it still did the saem thing so the z32 maf aint junk either....well the emanage is gone now anyways and im waiting here for my tuned ecu from SS.... :)

VTEC stands for `verocytotoxin producing Escherichia coli' and may also be called `E coli 0157', it usually causes diarrhoea.

Some may also believe it stands for "Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control", but that's just a myth.

No need to get all hot and bothered because he added an "H"

Do you have an electric fan?? if so unplug it and try start the car, Mine did same thing as yours, come to find out fan was blowing air through filter causing all the probs your having. If thats the case then just run a blow through setup. SR20dets love the blow through, runs much cleaner than on the suction side. If you need more help write me at. [email protected]Funny thing is i had same problem, started swaping parts out and the emanage and everything, damn fan. LOL

Oh i am also now running the emanage, and its now flawless. I called a few shops and they all said my problem was the emanage or tunning. Funny this is you motor pic is like a copy of mine.

I noticed from your Cardomain link that you went to Secret Services, was it worth it or are you regreting their services on the car now? And is the problem from something they sold you or installed themselves?
