What exactly is wrong? the rubber part of the motor mount slides up and down in a slot, you might be able to loosen it and get it to fit into the hole in the engine mount bracket that's bolted to the block. I know I had a hard time getting the passenger side in just putting a new KA in. If all else fails, do what I did...the bolt was below the hole so I wrapped a rope under it and yanked up...bam, engine fell into place on it's mounts. I jacked it up a bit and recovered my rope :)

if your KA mounts are still on the cross member, take them off and bolt them to your motor first, THEN put the motor in.

Maybe im mis-understanding you though. Just relax man, it might take longer than you expected, no biggie

Dude I had a horible time getting my motor mounts in. The only thing I can advise is to loosen them on the motor brackets slightly and then adjust as you let the motor down. They slide in the motor bracket and the chassis.

Man I remember that, i'm glad that is over. I was about as pissed as you at the time.

Yea it's not that hard, I tightend the mounts all the way to the engine and then dropped them onto the crossmember. It won't fit in both holes easily, so just take a big *** pry bar and pry the engine back towards the firewall and it will slip right in... like a glove.

As mentioned before, mount the motor mounts to the engine then drop the motor in, it is much easier this way, but it will still take a little bit of patience. By the way, why are you trying to put the drive shaft in if the motor isn't even installed yet?
