so ive found 4321412 different posts on the sr vs rb20. they talked about power, coolness, blah blah. i want to know about reliability. which one breaks more, which one is higher maintenence? i can guess rb parts are more expenesive/harder to find, but can it be justified by its reliability? being 18 and broke, the more reliable the better for my pocket. ya know?

reliability is not always easy to measure. kinda depends on how u drive it and how well u maintain it.

other than that, i would say that they are both probly equally reliable. i speak on experience with an SR, and i couldnt realy imagine an RB realy being any less reliable than an SR.

maintenece will be pretty much like any other car, just take car of it.

im kind of assuming this "would" be a fairly stock motorswap and mostly just regularly daily driven.

False!

I have never seen an SR "throw a chain" If one did then it was the maintainers fault.

Oiling system is fine only problem is when ppl dont do proper mainteance such has replacing an 18 year oil pump.

SR are very reliable, cheap/ton's of parts availible,

RB20 parts in the states are hard to come by from what i see on the sites.RB20's are nice due to the basically drop right into the S13's with minium mods, You can sue the S13's K member and drive shaft.

RB25 has more of a better support.

PS your avatar scares me......

alright, sounds good. im looking at two cars to buy, as you can guess one is an SR and the other RB. im favoring the SR because its 400 miles closer and has more done to it, but i didnt know if the rb would really be worth flying to the car and then driving it home for 11 hours haha. ive always found rbs more favorable, but getting, say, a water pump, is two different ball games for the motors.
