There is a metric ton of crap that isn't AGAINST the rules, that doesn't mean you should do it. There is no law that says you can't gouge out your own eyes, but I'd stop you if I was able. Your thread has never left the top 3...so there is simply NO need to bump it. Especially since the question was answered in my FIRST post. If you want more info, do a little searching man. You're talking about one of the best motors made to date vs a friggin SR. Are you serious? You really need help making your LS faster?migsk8 wrote:wait why?
is it against the rules??.....<<< serious question
You should be able to beat him with the motor stock..... and why are you limiting yourself with no "nitrous" (NOS is a brand). Throw a 150 shot on it bone stock and you won't have to worry about any SR you run against, especially from a roll situation.migsk8 wrote:ok so heres the deal, my friend is building a 240 with an SR shooting for 350-400 HP and im building one with an ls1. i need some good ideas on ways to shut him out with an ls1, i want like 450+HP
let me know, im figuring out my budget
NO NOS please............
Well said Chris. 300+whp in any Schassis is alot. Especially when the torque curve starts at what, 2800?cnichols wrote:I love how everyone thinks they need gobs and gobs of horsepower. Get it in stock, drive the pi$$ out of it, then worry about upgrading.
I'm making 330 tops and rolling out on C6 Vettes with just an exhaust...

First get the car running, then become accustomed to the car so you don't put it into a tree, make it hook, then worry about making more power. Hell, you don't even have the engine yet most likely. Don't get too far ahead of yourself...concentrate on things one step at a time.
WARNING APPROACHING THREAD JACKi just wanna tell u i love ur car. and im copying it completely lol (exterior wise). is that starfire blue or your own mix for the paint?cnichols wrote:I love how everyone thinks they need gobs and gobs of horsepower. You wouldn't be going too far. With the power I'm putting down and the 11+ years experience I have w/ an S14 chassis, it still can be a handful every now and then. I am even a little timid about putting in the cam I have sitting in my basement.WDRacing wrote:450 NA power with a torque curve as broad as the LSx has is almost undriveable. I'd go as far as to call it very unsafe in the hands of an unskilled driver.

Might as well jack it as the thread was going nowhere. We're now actually having a useful discussion. Thanks, and it's Mediterranean Blue (factory 96 240SX color)brizanden wrote:

He has 275/40/17's I believe. Looked at them last year in Nashville and remember he was running the same as me. Just gotta watch those fenders. I had to roll mine a little.WDRacing wrote:What size tires do you have outback Chris?
