Sounds like he has the VR4 version. It might be a close race you have a pretty much stock motor so your probaly not putting more then 220 if that to the wheels. IDK i think the VR4 would be a close call. The hundai is weak sauce, the VR4 has as much hp stock as a stock supra. That should help put it into perspective. Even if it is stock he has AWD so thats gonna get you off the line, and unless you have the boost to reel him in he is going to leave you.

raise your boost to 14 psi and you will smoke him for sure. I ran my bros stealth tt when i had a kat on 5 psi and i pulled hard. so you have a chance.

It will be very close. I think if you are equal drivers, you will win.

I'm a Mitsu tech. I driving many vr4. Stock, basic upgrade, safc tune. They all suck. Stock vr4 are slow a** crap. Basic upgrade- boost coontroller, intake and full downpipe back. I would say a stock gts v6 eclispe would rape it.

Safc tune, AVC set at 1.4 bar of boost, basic upgrade plus a fmic. I would say the is equal to a stock sr at 12-15 psi.

You could always find his hp and exact weight, then find his power to weight ratio. Find your power to weight ratio and see who's is better. Take the weight and divide the horse power.

I had a guy who bragged to me about how fast his N/A FWD 3000GT was. Needless to say, my stock redtop SR in my old S14 easily raped his 3000GT. I know, it wasn't a VR4 but he was the one bragging.

Anyways, stock VR4's runs about 14's in the 1/4 mile with a fairly low et. Like 96 or 97 only. He might get you at first, but you should be able to catch up in second and pass him in third.

Those might be the numbers the car put out when it was brand new. The numbers I posted were the numbers I recall of a few VR4's running at the track these pass couple of years.
