SR Transmission/Whats This?

Tried posting this in the Noob section to keep from starting a new thread, but I never go an answer. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is. It sets on top of the transmission in front of the shifter. I looks like a valve, or some kind of fitting. I was trying to figure out whether a line is supposed to fit over it or is it some kind of breather that is just supposed to be left alone.-Thanks for the help in advance

It's just the breather line, there should be a pinkish hose that goes to it. It would normally run up the back of the engine near the firewall.

Just like he said, it's a breather. Just put a hose if you wont on there, and zip tie it to the wire loom or something.
